Shows that put music first ..... not margins
We believe that affordable tickets, fair pay, and genuine relationships create better shows for everyone: the artist, the venue, and the audience. We reject the exploitative industry standards that treat artists as disposable and fans as ATMs
Our job is to connect people, build lasting partnerships, and help musicians share their craft in a way that’s sustainable, respectful, and inspiring.

Booking shows for people – not profit...

Third Eye Shut was started in 2024 after its founder walked away from the corporate booking world and immediately decided there had to be a better way. Years of watching artists, venues, and even audiences get squeezed for every dollar by people who never showed up to the shows had made one thing painfully clear: the industry was full of people who didn’t understand or care about music, just money.
So when Third Eye Shut opened its doors, the mission was simple: music above profit. That means affordable tickets, fair pay, and long-term partnerships instead of one-off cash grabs. We refuse to overcharge fans just to fill the pockets of middlemen; instead, we create shows that actually fill the room with people, with energy, and with respect for everyone involved.
Our roster spans genres, ages, and career stages, from fresh talent on their first stage to established acts who recognize the value of our approach. We work exclusively in the Los Angeles area (for now) hunting down hidden gems in Hollywood, Echo Park, and beyond. We find artists the way any real fan would: going to shows, swapping recommendations with friends, and listening when the community tells us about someone worth hearing.
Third Eye Shut operates with a small, tight-knit team, so the same person who sends you the show details is likely the one running it that night. Artists aren’t just “clients” they’re neighbors, peers, and friends. We know the venue managers and bartenders by name. We see each other at shows and at the grocery store. Every event is a collaboration where everyone’s input matters.
In the next decade, we aim to scale this model to bigger markets, help our artists book national tours, and push the industry to follow our lead. We don’t just want to be the exception, we want to set the new standard for how booking gets done. Because if you’re in music, you should actually be in it for the music.
The Team
Founder/Executive of Operations
ETHAN COLE
“I grew up near Boston, Massachusetts and have been passionate about live music since attending Berklee in 2019 and engrossing myself in the DIY scene there. Upon moving to LA, I worked for a corporate booking company (which shall not be named, but if you know you know) and quickly found the work to be dispassionate and deeply exploitative of artists, venues, and fans. My goal with starting Third Eye Shut was to give artists in LA (of which I am one as well) an avenue to take part in shows that deliver them the respect and experience they deserve. It has been an incredibly fulfilling experience and I am super excited for what the future holds.
When I’m not booking or running shows I’m making music under my artist project ‘Aristotle Jones,’ spending time in nature, baking, or playing pool with my friends."

AIDAN REESE
Director of Operations
"I got my start in booking and running shows growing up in the Bay Area DIY scene, we were teenagers with an empty garage, some dreams and a super shitty PA. As a musician I've developed a set of ethos and ideals that are centered around the facilitation of true artistic expression. No bullshit, No Egos just music. Almost to a fault I feel like I've stuck to my guns; I try not to compromise any aspect of the art we all work so hard to create in order to cut corners or make an extra dollar. Booking and throwing shows seems to be a lost artform and I consider myself a renaissance man. When I'm not making sure shows are running well Im teaching, recording music and touring."

BENJAMIN STROUT
Senior Production Manager
"I love working with artists and making every show feel like theirs. As a singer and writer myself, I aim to create the kind of environment I’d want to perform in: one built on respect, communication, and comfort. When I’m not running shows, I’m diving into audio engineering projects, studying astronomy, making music, cooking, or watching a movie. I’m excited to continue building great experiences for both artists and the community.”
